What We Do

Our BCAN Energy Project offers a wide range of support services, including:

01

Free Energy Advice & Guidance

We offer one-to-one advice sessions to help residents understand their energy consumption and identify simple but effective ways to reduce usage. This includes tips on saving electricity and gas, understanding energy bills, and making small behavioural changes that can lead to significant savings.

02

Support with Energy Bills

We help residents who are experiencing difficulties with their energy bills by:

  • Explaining billing statements in a clear and simple way
  • Advising on affordable repayment options
  • Referring households to emergency support funds where eligible
  • Helping resolve billing issues with energy suppliers
03

Home Energy Efficiency Improvements

We support households in making their homes more energy efficient by:

  • Advising on insulation, heating controls, and draught proofing
  • Helping residents access grants and funding schemes for home improvements
  • Providing information on government and local authority energy efficiency programmes
  • Encouraging long-term sustainable energy use
04

Fuel Poverty Prevention

A key focus of the BCAN Project is reducing fuel poverty. We work closely with vulnerable residents, including low-income households, elderly people, and families with young children, to ensure they are not forced to choose between heating and other essential needs.

05

Referrals & Partnership Support

Where additional help is needed, we connect residents with trusted partner organisations, including:

  • Local councils
  • Welfare and debt advice services
  • Energy suppliers' hardship funds
  • National energy support schemes
06

Community Outreach & Awareness

We actively engage with the community through workshops, outreach events, and information sessions to raise awareness about energy-saving practices and available support services. Our goal is to ensure that no one is left without access to essential energy advice.
