At MECC Trust, we believe everyone deserves the right support at the right time. Through our Communitus Autism & Learning Disability Project, we provide early intervention and community-based support for autistic people, individuals with learning disabilities, and their families.
Our aim is to help people access support before difficulties become overwhelming, reducing stress, improving wellbeing, and helping families feel more confident in managing everyday challenges.
We support a wide range of people and families, and welcome enquiries from anyone who may benefit — with a particular focus on Asian communities.
Although this project has a particular focus on Asian communities, we welcome enquiries from anyone who may benefit from our support.
Every person is different, which is why our support is tailored to each individual and family.
Rather than waiting until someone reaches breaking point, we work alongside individuals and families to:
Understand the current situation and identify challenges and risks early.
Explore what support is already available and fill gaps where possible.
Connect people with the right organisations and build confidence and independence.
Reduce stress for individuals and carers, and support them within their community.
Working together helps ensure people receive the right support at the right time.
Self-referrals are also welcome. If you are unsure whether someone is suitable for the project, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss their needs.
Whether you're looking for advice, need help accessing services, or want to make a referral, our friendly team is here to help.
